The Special Consensus – Thursday, July 1, 3:30 pm – NWH Stage

A four-person acoustic bluegrass band that formed in the Chicago area in 1975, the band has released 19 recordings and has appeared on numerous National Public Radio programs and cable television shows, including The Nashville Network and the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. International tours have brought the band to Australia, Canada, Europe, Ireland, South America and the United Kingdom. Rivers And Roads (Compass Records) was released in March 2018 and received IBMA awards for Instrumental Recorded Performance of the Year and Album of the Year in addition to a GRAMMY nomination for the Best Bluegrass Album award.
